Booking & Reservations

How do I reserve a vehicle?

You can reserve a vehicle by calling us at (786) 488-2054, filling out our online reservation form, or emailing us at info@sunrisevanandcarrental.com. We recommend booking at least 48 hours in advance, especially for weekends and peak seasons.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 48-72 hours in advance for best availability. For major holidays, wedding seasons (spring and fall), and large events, we suggest booking 1-2 weeks ahead. Last-minute bookings may be available—just give us a call.

Can I modify or cancel my reservation?

Yes, you can modify or cancel your reservation. Cancellations made 48+ hours before pickup receive a full refund. Cancellations within 24-48 hours receive a 50% refund. Same-day cancellations are non-refundable. Please see our full cancellation policy for details.

Do you require a deposit?

Yes, we require a security deposit that varies by vehicle type—typically $250-$750. The deposit is fully refundable upon return of the vehicle in the same condition, minus any fuel charges if the tank isn't full.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover), debit cards, and cash deposits. For security deposits, a credit card is required for authorization hold purposes.

Can I extend my rental period?

Yes, you can extend your rental if the vehicle is available. Please contact us as soon as possible to check availability and arrange the extension. Additional charges will apply for the extended period at the same daily rate.

Can I book a van rental online for South Florida?

Do you offer same-day van rentals?

Same-day rentals are available based on fleet availability. We recommend calling us directly at (786) 488-2054 for last-minute requests so we can check what's available and arrange pickup or delivery quickly. Same-day delivery is subject to availability and scheduling.

Can I reserve a van for a multi-day or multi-week trip?

Absolutely. We offer flexible daily, weekly, and monthly rental periods. Multi-week and monthly rentals come with significant discounts compared to daily rates. Many customers rent our vans and buses for extended South Florida vacations, seasonal stays, or ongoing business use.

Insurance & Coverage

What insurance do I need to rent a vehicle?

Florida law requires all drivers to have active auto insurance. You must provide proof of full coverage insurance (liability + comprehensive + collision) that will cover our rental vehicle. If you don't have coverage, you may purchase additional insurance through us.

Does my personal auto insurance cover rental vehicles?

Many personal auto policies extend coverage to rental vehicles, but not all. We strongly recommend contacting your insurance provider to verify your coverage extends to rental vans and larger vehicles before your rental period begins.

Do you offer insurance for renters?

Yes, we offer supplemental insurance options for renters who need additional coverage. This includes collision damage waiver (CDW) and liability coverage. Ask our team for rates and coverage details when booking.

What happens if there's an accident?

In case of any accident, please contact local authorities (911 if needed) and then call us immediately at (786) 488-2054. Document the scene with photos and exchange information with other parties involved. Our team will guide you through the claims process.

Am I responsible for damage to the vehicle?

The renter is responsible for any damage to the vehicle during the rental period that isn't covered by insurance. This includes interior damage, tire damage, and undercarriage damage. Please review our damage responsibility policy for complete details.

Does my credit card cover rental van insurance in Florida?

Some credit cards offer rental car insurance as a cardholder benefit, but coverage for larger vehicles like passenger vans and buses varies significantly. Check with your credit card company to confirm whether their coverage extends to the type of vehicle you're renting and meets Florida's minimum insurance requirements.

What if I don't have personal auto insurance?

If you don't carry personal auto insurance, you can still rent from us. We offer supplemental insurance packages that provide the required liability and collision coverage for the duration of your rental. Contact us for rates on our insurance add-on options.

Where is your rental location?

We're located in Fort Lauderdale at 1234 W Sunrise Blvd, FL 33311. You can pick up your vehicle during business hours: Monday-Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday 9am-4pm. Our facility offers a complete walkthrough of your vehicle before you drive away.

Do you offer delivery service?

Yes! We deliver rental vehicles anywhere in South Florida, including Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Delivery fees are calculated based on distance from our Fort Lauderdale location at approximately $2.50 per mile with a $35 minimum. Popular delivery estimates: Fort Lauderdale area $35-45, Miami $65-75, Boca Raton $55-65, West Palm Beach $85-95.

What are your business hours?

Our Fort Lauderdale location is open Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Saturday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We're closed on Sundays. For after-hours pickup or delivery, please arrange in advance and additional fees may apply.

Do you deliver to cruise ports?

Yes! We offer delivery to Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale and PortMiami. We coordinate delivery and pickup times with your cruise schedule, and our team can assist with luggage loading. Cruise port delivery is popular for families and groups arriving or departing from South Florida.

Can you deliver to airports?

Yes, we offer airport delivery to MIA (Miami International Airport), FLL (Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport), and PBI (Palm Beach International Airport). We meet you at the ground transportation area and can track your flight to ensure timely arrival. Airport delivery is ideal for visitors and groups arriving in South Florida.

Which South Florida cities do you deliver to?

We deliver to over 50 cities across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. This includes Miami, Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Pompano Beach, Boca Raton, Delray Beach, West Palm Beach, Coral Gables, Doral, Aventura, Weston, and many more. Do you deliver rental vans to hotels and resorts?

Yes, we regularly deliver vans and vehicles directly to hotels, resorts, and vacation rentals throughout South Florida. Just provide the hotel name and address when booking, and we'll coordinate with the front desk or valet for a smooth handoff. This is a popular option for tourists and event groups.

Can I pick up a rental van after business hours?

After-hours pickup can be arranged with advance notice. Please contact us at least 24 hours ahead to schedule an after-hours pickup. Additional fees may apply for pickups outside our regular business hours (Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 9am-4pm).

Do you offer one-way van rentals?

We handle rentals on a case-by-case basis for one-way trips within South Florida. For one-way trips to locations outside our tri-county service area, please contact us to discuss availability and any additional fees. Return to our Fort Lauderdale location or an agreed-upon drop-off point is standard.

What types of vehicles do you offer?

We offer a diverse fleet including 25 and 35-passenger buses for large groups, a 15-passenger Mercedes Sprinter van, Ford Transit High Roof and Passenger vans for mid-size groups and families, and a Ford Cargo Van for moving and commercial use. Every vehicle is well-maintained, clean, and fully insured.

Do I need a special license to drive your vehicles?

For personal (non-commercial) use, a standard driver's license is sufficient for all our vehicles, including the larger passenger buses. Commercial use may require a CDL depending on the specific operation—please contact us to discuss your needs.

Are your vehicles well-maintained?

Absolutely. All vehicles undergo regular professional maintenance and thorough cleaning between every rental. We maintain detailed service records and ensure every vehicle meets our high standards for safety, comfort, and reliability before each rental.

Can I tow with your vehicles?

Towing is not available with our current fleet. Our vehicles are designed for passenger transportation and cargo hauling. If you need towing services, we recommend contacting a local towing company. Please discuss your specific transportation needs when making your reservation.

Do your vehicles have WiFi or Bluetooth?

Many of our vehicles include WiFi hotspot capability and Bluetooth connectivity. The Mercedes Sprinter and newer passenger buses include these features standard. Our Ford Transit vans have Bluetooth for hands-free calling and audio. Please request specific tech features when booking.

What's the best van for a group trip in South Florida?

It depends on your group size. For up to 12 passengers, our Ford Transit Passenger van is a great affordable option. For 15 passengers, choose between the Mercedes Sprinter (luxury) or Ford Transit High Roof. For 20-25 people, our 25-passenger bus works great, and for 30-35 passengers, our 35-passenger bus handles the largest groups. All are well-suited for South Florida trips including beach outings, theme parks, and events.

Do you have 15 passenger vans for rent?

Yes! We offer two excellent 15-passenger van options: the Mercedes Sprinter with a luxury interior, and the Ford Transit High Roof with spacious seating and high ceilings. Both feature comfortable seating, air conditioning, and ample luggage space—making them perfect for group trips, church groups, sports teams, and corporate outings throughout South Florida.

Can I use your cargo van for moving?

Yes! Our Ford Transit cargo van is an excellent choice for local moves, furniture pickups, and hauling large items across South Florida. It offers a spacious cargo area with high roof clearance, making it easy to load and transport household goods, appliances, and equipment.

Do your vehicles have air conditioning?

Yes, every vehicle in our fleet has fully functioning air conditioning—essential for South Florida's warm climate. Our passenger buses and the Sprinter van have powerful rear A/C systems to keep all passengers comfortable, even during summer months.

What size van do I need for my group?

Here's a quick guide: Up to 12 passengers — Ford Transit Passenger. Up to 15 passengers — Ford Transit High Roof or Mercedes Sprinter (luxury). 20-25 passengers — 25-Passenger Bus. 30-35 passengers — 35-Passenger Bus. For cargo only, choose our Ford Cargo Van. How is rental pricing calculated?

Rental pricing includes a base daily, weekly, or monthly rate depending on the vehicle. Additional costs may include delivery fees, mileage overage (if applicable), and optional insurance. We provide transparent, all-inclusive quotes upfront with no hidden fees.

Is there a mileage limit?

Daily rentals typically include 150 miles per day. Weekly rentals include 1,000 miles. Monthly rentals are negotiable. Additional miles are charged at $0.35-$0.50 per mile depending on the vehicle. Unlimited mileage packages are available for select vehicles—ask when booking.

Do you offer discounts for longer rentals?

Yes! Weekly rates offer 15-20% savings compared to daily rates, and monthly rentals offer even greater savings. We also offer discounts for repeat customers, corporate accounts, and non-profit organizations. Contact us for a custom quote on extended rentals.

What about fuel costs?

You receive the vehicle with a full tank and should return it full. If returned with less fuel, we'll charge for the missing fuel plus a small refueling service fee. We recommend refueling near the return location to avoid the service charge.

Are there any hidden fees?

No hidden fees—ever. Your quote includes all mandatory charges. Optional items like additional insurance, GPS, or child seats are clearly listed separately. We believe in transparent, honest pricing so you know exactly what you're paying before you book.

Do you offer corporate rates?

How much does it cost to rent a van in South Florida?

Van rental rates in South Florida vary by vehicle size and rental duration. Our daily rates start from $119.95/day for passenger vans and go up to $449.99/day for large passenger buses. Do you offer weekend van rental specials?

Weekend rates are available and we occasionally run seasonal specials. For the best weekend pricing, we recommend booking early in the week to secure availability. Multi-day weekend packages (Friday through Monday) can also offer better value than individual daily rates. Call or check our website for current promotions.

Are there extra fees for cleaning or late returns?

We expect vehicles to be returned in a reasonably clean condition. Excessive dirt, stains, or odors (including smoke) may result in a cleaning fee of $150-$350 depending on severity. Late returns are charged at an hourly rate after a 1-hour grace period, up to a full additional day's rate.

Requirements & Documents

What are the driver requirements?

Drivers must be at least 25 years old, have a valid driver's license (held for at least 2 years), and have no major traffic violations in the past 3 years. Drivers aged 21-24 may rent with an additional young driver surcharge.

What documents do I need to rent?

You'll need a valid driver's license, proof of full coverage auto insurance, a credit card for the security deposit, and a second form of ID (passport or government-issued ID). Business rentals may require additional company documentation.

Can additional drivers be added?

Yes, additional drivers can be added to the rental agreement for a nominal fee. Each additional driver must meet our standard driver requirements (age 25+, valid license, clean record) and be present to sign the rental agreement.

Do you rent to out-of-state visitors?

Yes! We welcome visitors from other states and countries. You'll need a valid driver's license from your home state or country and proof of insurance that covers rental vehicles in Florida. International driver's licenses are accepted with a valid passport.

Can I rent a van if I'm under 25?

Drivers aged 21-24 may rent from us with a valid license and clean driving record, subject to a young driver surcharge. Drivers under 21 are not eligible to rent. The young driver fee varies by vehicle type—contact us for specific rates.

Can I take a rental van out of Florida?

Travel outside of Florida must be approved in advance. Trips within the southeastern United States (Georgia, Alabama, etc.) are typically approved with prior notice. Are pets allowed in rental vehicles?
