How Mileage is Calculated
- Odometer Reading at Pickup: We record the starting odometer reading when you receive the vehicle.
- Odometer Reading at Return: We record the ending odometer reading when you return the vehicle.
- Miles Driven: The difference between these readings is your total miles driven.
- Overage Calculation: If you exceed your included mileage, the excess miles are charged at the overage rate.
Example Calculations
3-Day Rental Example
- Included miles: 150 × 3 = 450 miles
- Miles driven: 520 miles
- Overage: 70 miles × $0.40 = $28.00 additional
Weekly Rental Example
- Included miles: 1,000 miles
- Miles driven: 950 miles
- Overage: None - within allowance
