Insurance Requirements

Understanding insurance coverage is essential for a smooth rental experience. Here's what you need to know about our insurance requirements.

Why We Require Full Coverage

Protecting You and Our Fleet

Our vehicles represent a significant investment, and proper insurance coverage ensures that both you and our fleet are protected in case of an accident. Florida law requires all drivers to carry auto insurance, and our rental agreement extends these requirements to cover our vehicles.

Coverage Requirements

Liability Coverage

Covers damages or injuries you may cause to others in an accident. Florida requires minimum liability coverage, but we recommend higher limits.

Required

Collision Coverage

Covers damage to the rental vehicle in case of an accident, regardless of fault. This is essential for protecting against repair costs.

Required

Comprehensive Coverage

Covers non-collision damage such as theft, vandalism, weather damage, and animal strikes. Protects against a wide range of scenarios.

Required

Common Insurance Questions

Does my credit card provide rental coverage?

Some credit cards offer rental car coverage as a benefit. However, this coverage often has limitations (may not cover larger vehicles like vans and buses, may require you to decline the rental company's insurance). Contact your credit card company to verify coverage details before relying on this option.

What if I don't have auto insurance?

If you don't have personal auto insurance, you'll need to purchase coverage through us. Contact us before your rental to discuss available options and pricing.

Does insurance cover all drivers?

Your insurance policy must cover all drivers listed on the rental agreement. Each additional driver must be listed and meet our driver requirements. Unauthorized drivers are not covered.

What happens if there's an accident?

Contact local authorities if needed (911 for emergencies), then call us immediately. Document the scene with photos and exchange information with other parties. We'll guide you through the claims process with your insurance company.
