Terms of Service

By accessing our website, requesting a quote, or renting a vehicle from Sunrise Van & Car Rental ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These Terms of Service govern your use of our website and general rental services. Specific rental terms will be outlined in your individual Rental Agreement, which takes precedence over these general terms.

To rent a vehicle from us, you must:

• Be at least 21 years of age (25 for certain vehicles)
• Possess a valid driver's license from your state or country of residence
• Provide valid auto insurance that covers rental vehicles
• Have a valid credit or debit card in your name
• Present a clean driving record (no major violations within the past 3 years)
• Sign a rental agreement before taking possession of the vehicle

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone who does not meet these requirements or for any other reason at our discretion.

Reservations

• Quotes provided are estimates and subject to change based on final rental details
• Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of required deposit
• Vehicle availability is not guaranteed until reservation is confirmed
• We may substitute a similar or upgraded vehicle if your reserved vehicle is unavailable

Payment Terms

• A deposit is required to secure your reservation
• The remaining balance is due at vehicle pickup
• A security deposit (hold) will be placed on your card at pickup
• Additional charges may apply for mileage overages, fuel, cleaning, or damage

Accepted Payment Methods

• Major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover)
• Debit cards with credit card logo (additional restrictions may apply)
• Cash is not accepted for security deposit holds

Authorized Use

Vehicles may only be driven by:

• The primary renter listed on the rental agreement
• Additional drivers who have been approved and added to the agreement

Geographic Restrictions

• Vehicles must remain within the State of Florida unless prior written approval is obtained
• Out-of-state travel requires advance notice and may incur additional fees
• International travel (including to Mexico or Canada) is strictly prohibited

• Vehicles must be returned by the date and time specified in your rental agreement
• Late returns will incur additional daily rental charges
• Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level as at pickup, or a refueling fee will apply
• The vehicle must be returned in the same condition as received, normal wear and tear excepted
• All personal belongings must be removed; we are not responsible for items left in vehicles
• Early returns do not result in refunds unless agreed upon in advance

• Cancellations 48+ hours before pickup: Full refund of deposit
• Cancellations 24-48 hours before pickup: 50% refund of deposit
• Cancellations less than 24 hours: No refund
• No-shows forfeit the entire deposit

You are responsible for any damage to the vehicle during your rental period, regardless of fault. Please see our Insurance Requirements and Damage Responsibility Policy for complete details.

You agree to maintain insurance coverage that meets our minimum requirements throughout the rental period. Failure to maintain proper insurance coverage voids any liability protection.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Sunrise Van & Car Rental, its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the rental vehicle, violation of these terms, or violation of any law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sunrise Van & Car Rental shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our services, including but not limited to:

• Lost profits or revenue
• Trip delays or interruptions
• Loss of use
• Personal injury not caused by our gross negligence
• Property damage

Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the total rental fees paid for your rental.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your rental shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida. You agree that any legal action shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida.

Before initiating legal action, you agree to attempt to resolve any dispute through good-faith negotiation by contacting us directly.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
